Itinerary

  1. 1
    The Caves of New Providence

20 min - One of the most historically rich sites in the Bahamas is The Caves. The Caves are believed to have been inhabited by the original settlers of the Bahamas, the Arawak or Lucayan Indians. Later the site was recorded as being well visited by pirates who would hide and/or divide their ill-gotten treasure within the intricate layers of The Caves. The close proximity of the caves to the sea provided the perfect access to pirates. It is said Blackbeard the Pirate stored his stolen booty in The Caves. You are certain to find a bat or two as you enter.

  2. 2
    Adelaide Village

3 hr - Adelaide is one of the three historic villages in New Providence, Nassau, where the African slaves who were given freedom by then Governor of the Bahamas Sir James Carmichael Smyth settled in 1831.Today, only a few families remained in Adelaide, occupying the few quaint colourful little houses in the village. We pass through the village and at the back sits a perfect beach day loaded with activities that await you. Make it a lazy beach day or one filled with adventure. It's entirely up to you!
